Upon reviewing Mr & Mrs W's Will which had been written 'Free of Charge' by their high street bank, it became apparent that the only executors names on the Will was the Bank and that they would charge 5% of the estate value to administer the estate upon death of each of the clients.
Once this was explained to Mr & Mrs W they had a moment of shock to discover that in excess of £35,000 of their estate would go on charges to their bank for what in effect was a fairly simple task of administering an uncomplicated estate.
Both Mr & Mrs W were overjoyed when they not only re-wrote their Wills but also put in place an Estate Planning strategy were they could name Executors that they wanted whilst saving £35,000 which would pass to their intended beneficiaries.
